CLARET CUP SANGRIA

REGION:  MELBOURNE, VICTORIA

The CrAziEs at Club Cuckoo Island say this one is based on grapes grown in the middle of the Cloud Cuckoo desert – surrounded by claret cup cacti making picking them rather arduous".  Its a blend of quality red and white wines, fruit liqueurs and Lemon.

Our 2c worth:  Be careful, at 10% ABV this one can creep up and bite.  Well balanced mix, added citrus lightens the mouthfeel.  Toast to the mental instability of the Cuckoo Island crew !

CLOUDY APPLE CIDER

REGION: McLAREN VALE S.A.

(ABV 5.8%)

Cloudy apple cider made from 100% Pink Lady apples. Fermented in seasoned French oak barrels using wild yeast After several months maturation to soften.  Mildly carbonated and a hazy to the eye.

Our 2c worth:  At 5.8% ABV fill a big glass with ice and let yourself float away on a Cloud of Crafty goodness !

PINK GIN MIX

REGION: SOUTH AUSTRALIAN

An orchestral blend of zesty Pink Grapefruit combined with quality Australian CAPI Tonic with fine South Australian Gin left to 'star in the show'.

Slightly dry mouthfeel yet beautifully citric, thoroughly refreshing and lightly carbonated.  Tastes even better served in a fancy glass with crushed ice and garnish to taste.  A modern and mature variation.

Ripping good cocktail.  Discernable flavours of warm butterscotch and zesty orange star in this little beauty.  This is a little red demon !

Our 2c worth: The original is usually the best.  This will not disappoint. Lots of ice in a Highball glass and this will provide a cruisy afternoon and make you feel like you're on holiday !

ESPRESSO MARTINI

The Zany crew at Club Cuckoo use a 24-hr cold drip Coffee base adding Vodka and other goodies. They say the "the solution is then strapped to flamingos who do laps of Club Cuckoo island for no less than 19 minutes which makes the difference"

Our 2c Worth:  Judging from their product description we thing this crew may be a tad unhinged (arent't we all a bit that way?).  Dont tell them, just enjoy this magnificent Cocktail !

TROPICAL SOUR

This cider displays a perfect balance of handpicked Adelaide Hills apples co- fermented with Queensland mango & pineapple. Carefully crafted to display qualities of a traditional ‘sour’ with apple sweetness on the back palate.  . MARGARETS MARGARITA

REGION: MELBOURNE, VICTORIA

Another ripper from our nutty friends at Club Cuckoo Island.  They claim Margaret and her and her parrot Ruby collect Island lemons and limes, giving this Margarita a "real purse-lipped punch". Tequila based, Triple Sec and Citrus juices mixed to a flavour explosion !

Our 2c worth:  Pour over ice for the most refreshing summer surprise.  Feeling fancy? Serve in cocktail glass, dip the rim in sugar syrup, double dip in sugar, add a thin slice of lemon and a baby umbrella ! Awesome.

WOODCHOPPERS CIDER

REGION: YARRA VALLEY, VICTORIA

(ABV 6.6%)

This gem combines nine varieties of hand picked Yarra Valley apples (twice cold pressed), five carefully selected yeast strains, purified rain water, a little genius, and aged at least 6 months. A perfect balance of bitter and sweet complemented by floral undertones. A clean finish and no lingering aftertaste

Vegan, gluten free, concentrate free.

Our 2c worth:  We cant even name 9 apple varieties.  Depth of flavour, this is the real deal.

TEQUILA BASED COCKTAIL MIX

REGION: MEXICO

White (blanco) left to 'dance' in the sweet Berry flavour of Chambord Liqueur, with a hint of lime and combined with Quality Australian CAPI Spicy Ginger Beer.   Medium carbonation gives light mouthfeel and enhances spicy notes.  Add crushed Ice and garnish for maximum taste and looks.

GIN BASED COCKTAIL MIX

Cherry Brandy and Grenadine on a base of Pure Australian Gin then topped up with CAPI Lemonade give this Mix a fresh taste and Stunning Red hue. Light carbonation enhances the fruity mouthfeel of this all Australian masterpiece.   Plenty of crushed Ice and garnish with red fruit like raspberries or Strawberries to stay in theme.
